Ludus Dance

Based in Lancaster for over thirty years, Ludus Dance, Britain’s Leading Dance in Education Company, has built a unique national and international reputation for it’s contribution to both Dance in Education and Community Dance.

The Ludus Touring Company creates and tours contemporary dance-based performances and workshops specifically designed to explore themes and issues relevant to young people which also contribute to PSHE and Citizenship Education.

The Ludus Dance Development Department offers a comprehensive range of community dance activities for people of all ages, abilities, cultures and backgrounds, both locally and across the County of Lancashire. These include, dance classes, workshops, project management, support for artists, commissions for new work training opportunities, all of which celebrate the rich and diverse cultural background of both the company and the County.

Ludus Dance has developed a range of exciting training opportunities for dance professionals, school teachers and students in Higher Education including the ever popular StepAhead Course – A Dance Tool-Kit for dance artists planning on developing their work in both education and community contexts.
